From vintage to future promises, the renewed interest in the analog modular synthesizer in the 2000's and the craze it arouses today among composers and sound artists, all generations included, to the point of having revived the analog market and remotivated the manufacturers, deserve to be looked at more closely. To do so, we have gathered the point of view of the director of the Groupe de Recherches Musicales de l'INA GRM François Bonnet, questioned the Canadian sound artist Sarah Davachi and gathered information on the performer Thomas Ankersmit and his "Serge" with which he conquered the international scene.
