For more than forty years, Denis Dufour has been a key figure in creative music. An extremely prolific composer and great experimenter, he is known above all for his work in the field of electroacoustics, as an heir to the concrete school of Pierre Schaeffer. But Denis Dufour is also a composer of acoustic instrumental music, which he approaches with the same love for sound matter. We dive into the composer's universe on the occasion of the recent release of a book of interviews with Vincent Isnard(La composition de l'écoute, éditions MF) and a boxed set of sixteen CDs(Complete Acousmatic Works vol. 1, Maison ONA, Kairos).
