DossierSound Hemisphere& Mixtur Festival

Mixtur is the festival of creative music in Catalonia since 2012. As well as a program of concerts, round tables and exhibitions, Mixtur is also a great pedagogical academy with workshops of composition and sound experimentation, improvisation and interpretation, which welcomes every year around 80 young students from all over Europe.

In 2022, Hémisphère son joins, for the second year, with the Mixtur Festival, joined for the occasion by the Ramon Llull Foundation, around the creation of Sightings by Raquel Garcia-Tomás with the video artist, Pere Ginard and the young German ensemble, Via Nova.
The preview was presented at the Kunstfest of Weimer on September 5, 2022.

In 2021, our first collaboration was formed around the Catalan composer Jose Rio-Pareja and the creation of Nomada S5 with the ensemble Ulysses directed by the Swiss composer and conductor Beat Furrer.
